Barbara Monteiro
@barbaramonteiro
I design outcomes-driven learning programmes, assessments, and multilingual training for international and corporate learners.
What I'm looking for
At International Sharing School, I lead Humanities learning across four subjects and redesign Theory of Knowledge delivery through thematic, subject-specialist learning models. I also build examiner calibration tools, facilitate integration workshops, and manage IB compliance and assessment quality.
I've designed full IB Business Management curricula, introduced e-assessments, and created a residential revision retreat with outcome mapping, facilitator guides, and learner materials. My work uses backward design, learner-performance data, differentiated scaffolding, and rigorous assessment alignment.
Before education, I worked with FrontlineAIDS across east and southern Africa, designing and facilitating multilingual programmes on HIV/AIDS, gender-based violence, gender inequality, and Key Populations advocacy. I managed partner relationships, needs analysis, workshops, learning resources, budgets, and iterative programme improvements across complex low-resource contexts.
I'm now bringing 11+ years of curriculum architecture, facilitation, assessment QA, stakeholder consultation, and end-to-end programme design into corporate learning and development.
