I'm a professor. For over a decade, I've taught Portuguese and English in higher education, adult education, and private language instruction — working with multicultural learners in Chinese, Portuguese, and English-medium environments.
My classroom experience is what grounds my work as an Instructional Designer and Subject Matter Expert. Most recently, I worked as a SME and Instructional Designer on the RED-DGE digital portuguese education project, translating national curricular guidelines into interactive learning materials for diverse student profiles, including PLNM (Portuguese as a Non-Native Language) learners. My work included leading the curation and pedagogical refinement of AI-generated content via the SAGE coordinator platform, and validating learning diagnostics through the GIRED system to ensure alignment with national educational standards.
Since 2014, I've also designed curricula and e-learning materials for higher education and adult learners, building interactive courses with diverse e-Learning software (Articulate 360 and Rise 360, to mention a few) and developing blended-learning courses on Moodle, Canvas, and Blackboard.
I'm particularly interested in roles at the intersection of teaching, instructional design, and AI-assisted content development — where real classroom experience shapes learning design that actually works for the people using it. I also maintain an active portfolio of interactive e-learning courses demonstrating open educational practices, WCAG accessibility standards, and CEFR-aligned curriculum design.
