Ariel Clements

I'm currently improving patient data quality and medical-record workflows as a Clinical Informaticist I at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I manage, protect, and audit clinical data; connect clinical teams, leadership, and software vendors; and help implement EHR updates and new tools.

My nursing background includes oncology infusion and medical-surgical care at UAB Medicine, where I administered treatments, coordinated with providers, supported discharge planning, and educated patients and families. I've also managed transitional care, workers' compensation cases, and hospice care transitions across Birmingham healthcare organizations.

I've supported clinical trials at the University of Alabama and Central Alabama Research, coordinating participant recruitment, enrollment, follow-up, regulatory documentation, labs, vital signs, and ECGs. I understand the importance of accurate documentation, protocol adherence, and clear communication across care teams.

I'm an RN with experience using Epic EMR and managing care plans, medication reconciliation, patient education, clinical documentation, and quality data entry. I bring a practical nursing perspective to healthcare technology, patient outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
