In mid-2024, I took an extended career break to pursue some real-world learning and immersing myself in Southeast Asian cultures. During this time, I accepted a redundancy offer from CBA, which allowed me to extend my travels to South America. The experience provided valuable perspective on both personal and professional priorities, and I am now refreshed, refocused and ready for my next role.

I formalised a repeatable customer onboarding process for this early-stage AI start-up by identifying key metrics, milestones and delivery critical paths. I standardised and automated project setup and workflow management in Monday.com. Additionally, I established a project cadence supported by automated reports across risks/issues, project controls, resource planning and process/team efficiency.

As part of a broad op model and process transformation for a 2,500-person ops team, I led the redesign of enterprise reporting, resulting in a 93% reduction in reports (>400 to ~30) including immediate decommission of 72 reports. I drove the challenges to successfully redefine SLAs/OPRs/KRIs and conducted risk/control assessments across releases, identifying gaps requiring interim reporting.

Assumed lead role mid-design of a struggling pilot to implement new cross functional process. Re-established governance and delivered within 4 weeks eliminating QA failures, invalid escalations and rework. Delivered data-driven diagnostic on a 17k/month case backlog providing policy change approvals and endorsed design changes to implementation team (reduced volume (~90%) and touch time (10mins)).

Performed lead role in the discovery, design and implementation of solutions to address identified risks in regulatory & control operations realising a significant reduction in risk of compliance breaches.
Transitioned the team to a BAU design and implementation function to deliver against ongoing policy updates across all Fin Crime Operations.

Built and led an ECDD transformation team delivering >100 operational changes, closed 42 high-risk issues and implemented governance to transition remediation into BAU, reducing regulatory exposure to AUSTRAC findings.

Delivered new tactical processes and governance model for Transaction Monitoring rule design and ongoing validation across multiple global jurisdictions in line with various international regulatory requirements. Led initial design of a Rules Management Framework for the Group which provided a structure for identifying our transaction risks and assessing suitable coverage.

Our team’s remit was to lead customer-centric transformational improvement at a group level. Results included: reduction of accounts payable process steps/handovers by >70% in the interim state and identification of 42 prioritised opportunities for reducing non-value activities of Practice Managers. Shortly after I joined Executive Level restructuring resulted in the team being made redundant.
