What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an elementary teaching role where I can collaborate in co-teaching/PLC teams, use data to guide instruction, and support ELA/Math/Science growth through engaging, technology-rich lessons.

I’m an elementary education teacher with an M.A. in Special Education and certification for Childhood Education 1-6 and Students with Disabilities 1-6. I bring a learner-centered approach that emphasizes safety, growth, and clear objectives in every lesson.

Since 2008, I’ve worked as a general education teacher in integrated co-teaching and departmentalized settings, teaching ELA, Math, and Science, and also independently. I’ve also served as a special education teacher for one year and as a remote teacher in an ELLS setting, using data from formative, interim, and summative assessments to plan instruction and support diverse learners.

I’m a leader as well as a teacher—grade leader for 5th (2017-2018) and 4th (2018-2020), facilitating common planning and PLC work for science. I’ve headed student leadership and mentorship through the Woodlawn Leadership Legacy/Making a Moment Program, participated in instructional focus committee work, supported hiring committee processes, and built summer curriculum plans using UBD formats.
