What I'm looking for

I am looking for a role that allows me to leverage my expertise in education and social services, fostering community connections and supporting families in need.

I am a passionate educator with a Master's degree in Human Development, specializing in Social Change. My journey began at Western Carolina University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Birth to Kindergarten with a minor in Special Education. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to enhancing the lives of children and families through various educational programs, particularly the Parents As Teachers model.

Throughout my career, I have held significant roles, including Lead Parent Educator at Cherokee Central Schools, where I creatively incorporated the PAT Foundational Home Visiting Plan. My experience extends to managing grants, training staff, and fostering community connections. I have also presented at national conferences, sharing insights on culturally responsive practices and effective parent education strategies.

My commitment to professional development is evident through my ongoing training and certifications, including being recognized as the Parent Educator of the Year. I am eager to continue making a positive impact in the field of education and social services, advocating for children and families in my community.
