During his time at Crowdhelix as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Alex designed and built the Crowdhelix Recommender, a tool for matching entities across the Crowdhelix platform. He was also responsible for machine learning operations, deployment workflows, and performance monitoring. Additionally, Alex played a key role in growing the machine learning functionality and providing guidance and mentorship to junior machine learning engineers.
As a Senior Data Scientist at Satalia, Alex worked on significant projects such as advertisement optimization, predictive maintenance, price optimization, and logistics. He delivered substantial cost savings to BT Openreach through the implementation of a tool for predicting anomalously costly customer journeys. Alex also developed a model for a major UK hotel chain to optimize booking prices and implemented a last-mile delivery optimization solution for a major UK retailer.
