Ahmad Abu-Jamous

I've supported students across Arlington County Public Schools, Fairfax County Public Schools, and Woodbridge Islamic School through special education, instructional assistance, substitute teaching, and summer instruction.

As a VPI Special Education Teacher and Learning Disabilities Teacher, I developed and implemented IEPs, differentiated instruction, taught life skills, adapted individualized teaching methods, and partnered with families and school teams. I create reading, writing, and mathematics lessons based on student strengths and needs while helping maintain safe, inclusive learning environments.

My work as an ESY Paraprofessional and Instructional Assistant includes assisting with lessons, collecting student data, supporting transitions, and helping prevent harmful or off-task behaviors.

I'm completing the ABA Certification Program at the University of Virginia and hold Virginia postgraduate professional licensure in Special Education and General Education K–12. I'm also UFLI trained, Conscious Discipline trained, and certified in Dyslexia Awareness, child abuse and neglect reporting, restraint and seclusion, and Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
