I've supported Amazon's Advertising organization by automating PostgreSQL and Aurora upgrades, migrating Oracle databases to PostgreSQL with AWS DMS, and tuning hundreds of PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Aurora PostgreSQL databases.
At AWS, I migrated large Oracle databases to new hardware and supported Oracle metadata databases for Route53, RDS, CloudWatch, and ElastiCache. I've used PL/SQL to automate Data Guard administration, redo-log changes, datafile redistribution, and standby database restoration.
Across Newbay Software, CDG, AT&T, Cingular Wireless, Musicnet, and The Cobalt Group, I've built and tuned Oracle data warehouses, ETL processes, RAC and Data Guard environments, dimensional models, and production database operations.
I've also taught Oracle curriculum in data modeling, relational database design, and advanced PL/SQL. I bring hands-on experience spanning database administration, Oracle development, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and automation.
