I’m a seasoned PostgreSQL developer with 15 years of experience, focused on the architecture and optimization of database-centric applications. I’m the go-to expert for performance tuning and complex, database-system problem-solving—especially under high-pressure conditions.

As a Senior Database Developer, data lead at NinjaHoldings, I help ensure AWS RDS PostgreSQL scalability through consistent architecture, peer review, and safe database migrations. I support 24x7 production environments, run monitoring and tuning to resolve performance issues, and improve query and indexing strategies. I also lead reliable data movement for BI, including CDC replication and data pipelines using Fivetran, pipelinewise, AWS S3, AWS Lambda, Snowpipe, and dbt.

Previously at SalsaLabs, I joined before production release to replace the previous data architect and built and scaled a PostgreSQL data warehouse. I engineered ETL from horizontally partitioned PostgreSQL operational databases into the warehouse, collaborated with application architects on transactional and analytical models, and supported mission-critical uptime through on-call and war-room execution. During a major event, I rebuilt a data movement module in 3 hours—switching from Java JDBC to the PostgreSQL COPY command—to eliminate reporting delays.

Earlier roles in Oracle database development sharpened my foundation in RDBMS theory and execution, from performance audits and PL/SQL development to defining database standards and automation.
