Senior Database Architect, dba, Oracle and SQL Server, data modeler

What I'm looking for

I’m looking to lead database architecture and BI/ETL delivery on large, distributed systems—designing secure data models, tuning Oracle/SQL Server, and improving load reliability through SDLC documentation, reviews, and data profiling for compliance.

I’m a Senior Database Architect and DBA with 15+ years across the full software development life cycle (SDLC), leading database design, development, administration, tuning, implementation, troubleshooting, and quality management for large-scale distributed systems. I perform automated and manual BI and ETL processes and build reliable data feeds and complex SQL across multiple environments using PL/SQL, T-SQL, and PRO*C/C programs.

I’m known for designing ETL architectural solutions that integrate multiple large data sources into isolated staging environments, using metadata models to resolve bottlenecks while maintaining compliance through documentation, reviews, and data analysis summaries. I work with millions of rows and focus on profiling, cleansing, validation, and early filtering of “bad data” to reduce production clean-up costs.

I also own the operational side—backup/recovery, data quality reporting, database tuning, and disaster recovery—while establishing data standards, policies, and modeling architectures that protect integrity and confidentiality. I’ve led teams (up to 15 people), mentored developers, and translated business/security reporting requirements into working ETL and database architectures that stand up to SOX and HIPAA needs.
