What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical systems and project management. Currently, I work with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, where I contribute to the Civil Works section of the Design Branch. My role involves researching, designing, and specifying mechanical systems for locks and dams, reservoirs, and flood safety infrastructure within the Ohio River Basin. I take pride in my ability to perform complex calculations related to stress analysis, flow rates, and pressure analysis, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our projects.
Throughout my career, I have honed my technical writing skills, producing essential project documents such as technical specifications and inspection reports. My experience working with multi-disciplined project teams has enhanced my communication abilities, allowing me to collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts. I am particularly proud of my contributions to the design documentation for key installations along the Ohio River Basin, which have played a crucial role in maintaining infrastructure integrity.
Prior to my current position, I gained valuable experience as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op at Sypris Technologies, where I focused on continuous improvement and waste elimination projects. My hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor and Lean manufacturing methods has equipped me with the skills necessary to drive efficiency and innovation in engineering processes. I am eager to continue my professional journey, leveraging my skills and experiences to contribute to impactful engineering projects.
