Aaron ZADROZNY

I co-founded and directed the University of Minnesota Learning Technologies Media Lab, where I led a $5.2M+ funded portfolio of digital learning products, research, and partnerships.

I helped create Flipgrid, the video-based education platform later acquired by Microsoft, and built Adventure Learning experiences that reached more than 3 million learners. My work also includes GeoThentic, WeExplore, and LT Basecamp, connecting authentic inquiry, learner voice, geospatial technologies, and educator participation.

Across the University of Minnesota, National Geographic Society, and statewide educator networks, I’ve led curriculum, professional learning, research, and technology-enabled learning initiatives. I’ve partnered with organizations including NSF, National Geographic Society, ESRI, NIH, the Library of Congress, and the National Park Service.

I now advise on generative AI, AI-assisted media workflows, digital authoring, and practical technology adoption while sustaining global learning and educator-development work.
