Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Bacteriology Research Manager to lead cutting-edge research initiatives in our microbiology division. In this role, you will oversee a team of scientists and collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive innovation in bacteriology research, focusing on the development of novel antimicrobial agents and diagnostic tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage bacteriology research projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
- Design and execute experiments to investigate bacterial mechanisms of resistance and susceptibility to antimicrobial agents.
- Oversee the development and validation of assays and methodologies for microbial testing and analysis.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate research findings into actionable insights and product development.
- Prepare and present research findings at conferences, and publish in peer-reviewed journals to enhance the organization's scientific reputation.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Microbiology, Bacteriology, or a related field with a strong focus on bacterial research.
- 5+ years of experience in bacteriology research, with a proven track record of managing research teams.
- In-depth knowledge of bacterial pathogenesis, antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, and evaluation of antimicrobial efficacy.
- Experience with laboratory techniques including PCR, culture methods, and microbiological assays.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience in leading interdisciplinary research teams and collaborating with clinical partners.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to microbiology research and product development.
- Strong publication record in high-impact journals.
