About the roleAs a Freelance Content Writer, you will work with our content team to develop and refine Zeta’s messaging, thought leadership, and campaigns. Depending on the nature of the assignment, you will develop long-form content, such as white papers, blog posts, case studies, presentations, and awards submissions, as well as short-form content such as emails and advertisements.You will become an expert on how to develop a compelling story, and you will become highly knowledgeable about industry trends and how to appeal to the payments and banking market.
Responsibilities
- Create unique content for long and short form content, including but not limited to websites, blogs, eBooks, white papers, newsletters, videos, press releases, advertisements, emails and more
- Collaborate with our tight-knit marketing and creative teams to make progress on projects that are meaningful for both our community and our company
- Use research on the latest industry trends and customer issues to suggest content marketing initiatives
- Utilize SEO keywords to create enhanced written content
- Follow style guidelines to ensure consistency across websites

- Ability to distill complex technical subjects into simple benefits-driven copy.
- Ability to succinctly communicate broad subjects according to the most powerful selling points.
- Creative writer who can take strategic direction and form that into creative and compelling copy.
- Deadline driven and ability to deliver on time.

Experience and Qualification
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in writing for or about banking, payments or fintech audiences.
- Demonstrated experience writing in American-style English
