Junior Mobile Platform Engineer (Android)

We’re looking for a Junior Mobile (Android) Engineer to join our Mobile Platform Team. You'll contribute beyond feature work, helping improve tools, optimize workflows and support other teams while developing the skills to grow into a well-rounded platform engineer.

This is a full-time, 100% remote position. You can be based in Germany, Spain, Portugal or the U.K.

Your Mission

As a Junior Mobile (Android) Engineer, you will:

• Collaborate with senior Android engineers on small-to-medium tasks using Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
• Support other teams by troubleshooting app-level issues and implementing reliable fixes
• Learn and apply modern Android best practices while staying current with the latest tools, guidelines and frameworks from Google
• Bring your curiosity and fresh perspective to cross-platform initiatives, gradually contributing to shared codebases across Android and iOS
• Communicate effectively and work closely with engineers across squads to support shared tooling, platforms and productivity initiatives
• Take a hands-on approach to projects from start to finish—understanding requirements, contributing to implementation and testing and supporting rollout.

• Android: Kotlin, Jetpack
• Cross-platform: Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
• Nice to have: Familiarity with iOS

Your Profile

• Up to 2 years of professional experience in Android development, with a solid foundation in Kotlin and a passion for clean code
• Familiar with modern software architecture patterns and SOLID principles, with a basic understanding of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
• An interest in growing cross-platform mobile expertise and Android internals, particularly developer tooling
• Familiarity with Android Studio, along with an eagerness to stay current with the latest best practices
• Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset, eager to take ownership of tasks, solve problems and contribute to a cross-functional, English-speaking team
• A commitment to quality—eagerness to write clean, testable code while continuously sharpening engineering knowledge
