Our client is looking for a Paralegal - Guardianshipto support their legal team in managing sensitive and detail-oriented guardianship cases. They operate within the legal services industry and have strengthened their presence in recent years by expanding client-focused services and refining internal processes to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, confident in client communication, and experienced in drafting legal documentation. The selected candidate will play a key role in coordinating case information, ensuring accurate filings, and supporting attorneys throughout guardianship proceedings. A strong understanding or exposure to guardianship processes is essential, as this position requires handling cases involving vulnerable individuals and close interaction with families and stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and draft a variety of legal documents related to guardianship cases
- Organize, maintain, and update case files with accuracy and consistency
- Manage deadlines by tracking schedules and proactively reminding attorneys of key dates
- Perform legal research to support case preparation and filings
- File legal documents electronically in accordance with court requirements
- Communicate directly with clients to request documentation, provide updates, and explain case progress
- Coordinate with clients’ family members, referral partners, and external vendors when needed
- Facilitate document execution processes, including client meetings when required
- Use legal management and accounting systems to track time, expenses, and case activity
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary
- Hands-on experience supportingguardianship cases or similar legal processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions
- Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
- Familiarity with court procedures, ideally across multiple jurisdictions (Florida experience is a plus)
