This is a remote position.
Our client is looking for a LAMP-Stack Developerto support the development, optimization, and maintenance of their web and e-commerce platforms. They operate within the digital services industry and have strengthened their web capabilities and client delivery over the past few years.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly technical, proactive, and comfortable owning multiple websites end-to-end in a fast-moving environment.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, customize, and maintain websites using WordPress and WooCommerce
Work within a LAMP stack environment, leveraging Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP
Build custom themes, templates, and site functionalities tailored to project needs
Ensure all websites are fully responsive and optimized for mobile-first experiences
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, errors, and performance issues
Manage and update website content within WordPress environments
Configure and maintain plugins, integrations, and themes while ensuring stability
Improve site structure, navigation, and overall usability
Optimize website performance, including page speed, Core Web Vitals, and database efficiency
Monitor and enhance site health using tools such as PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse
Handle hosting configurations, caching strategies, and CDN setups when required
Build and maintain WooCommerce stores, including product setup, payments, shipping, and checkout flows
Diagnose and resolve e-commerce-related issues while improving conversion performance
Support development efforts across additional platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, or Magento when needed
Apply technical SEO best practices including metadata, schema, and indexing controls
Collaborate with marketing teams to implement SEO-related improvements
Work closely with internal stakeholders including the Head of Development and VP of Operations
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and track progress using Monday.com
Communicate effectively with team members via Microsoft Teams

Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on web development experience or equivalent
Strong experience with WordPress and WooCommerce
Solid knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Proven experience working within a LAMP stack environment
Ability to develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins
Strong understanding of website performance optimization techniques
Ability to debug and resolve technical issues efficiently
Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
QualificationsExperience working with additional CMS or e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, or Magento
Familiarity with hosting providers like SiteGround, WP Engine, or similar
Experience using version control systems such as Git
Knowledge of staging environments and deployment processes
Basic understanding of technical SEO implementation
Previous experience in a digital agency setting
Familiarity with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery, without reliance on them
