Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Point of contact for UK, EMEA and APAC payrolls region related activities and initiatives.
- Oversee and supervise the team’s activities and initiatives by establishing team’s goals and monitoring key metrics, analysis, and reporting.
- Lead and supervise the payroll team of 4 staff by maintaining WFS payroll deadlines.
- Ability to process payrolls across UK, EMEA and APAC region (27 countries)
- Review payroll data of other members of the Payroll team before signing off.
- Ensure service levels are met and act as the point of contact for any escalated payroll queries.
- Administer the Year End tax filings and disbursement of employee forms for all applicable countries
- Support all relevant Finance/Accounting teams with reconciliations or general Payroll queries by maintaining an accurate General Ledger journal entries (salaries, pension, taxes, and social security) into Oracle financials at a company and employee level.
- Administer UK relief-at-source and salary sacrifice pension schemes and managing timely upload of employee and employer contributions into personal schemes for all legal entities, in line with auto-enrolment legislation
- Handle and storage of sensitive information from multiple sources both internal and external, and maintaining in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
- Administer expatriate related payroll activities and coordinate with external tax vendors as needed.
- Maintain the EMEA/APAC shared Payroll Inbox, working to a maximum 24 hour response time. Supporting employees with any pay-related queries.
- Maintain strong relationships with corporate staff: Accounting, Internal Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, and People/HR.
- Maintain SOX controls and coordinate annual testing and reporting with Internal / External Auditors.
- Ability to train and assist junior staff.
- Able to articulate complicated information to non-Payroll experts.
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders and manage expectations.
- Lead continuous process improvements by utilizing new and existing technologies (i.e., automation and robotics)
- Mentors, coaches, and develops employees through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, communication of policies and rules, and constructive discipline; builds morale and motivation; enabling high level of retention within the team.
Qualifications:
Degree level or possess an equivalent level qualification
CIPP (Chartered Institute for payroll and pension) is preferable
4-5 years experience in Payroll is essential
Knowledge on Safeguard, ADP Streamlineand WORKDAY systems highly desirable
International experience is preferable
Previous experience with leading team members
