We understand our members in highly nuanced ways, and enable the organization to engage people in targeted outreach to provide value specific to them. This team is also at the heart of creating new experiences for our members - from building a benefit navigation service, which provides personalized guidance on how to lower one’s bills, to creating ways for our members to get faster and more relevant responses from our team via multiple channels of engagement and human to human interaction.

Why We Need A VP of Product

As an ambitious organization in a world where technology and user experience reign supreme, this role is pivotal for WorkMoney. Imagine crafting a roadmap where every tech innovation elevates user acquisition, re-engagement, and retention. We have great ambitions beyond what’s on the current roadmap - in terms of providing even more value to our members and the general public. That’s the challenge we’re tackling head-on and we need someone exceptional to lead the change.

Our VP of Product will be the mastermind behind our product strategy, driving alignment and prioritization. They’ll collaborate with the executive team and with internal partner teams to understand our goals deeply and will create a technology-enabled strategy to achieve results. They’ll collaborate with top-notch talent – engineers, designers, and analysts – to bring the vision to life. But it’s not just about strategy; it’s about execution. Our VP will roll up their sleeves and dive deep into the trenches, working hand-in-hand with our digital team to make it happen.

Responsibilities

Product Vision and Strategy:

  • Develop an inspiring and visionary product narrative that drives alignment, grounded in deep user insights and market dynamics
  • Challenge conventional thinking to redefine the limits of user experience excellence, leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver transformative solutions

Team Leadership:

  • Ignite passion and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within cross-functional teams, empowering them to achieve extraordinary results
  • Engineer pathways for efficiency in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment, championing iterative development fueled by both qualitative insights and quantitative metrics
  • Evaluate team capacity and make recommendation for redistributing responsibility, reorganizing, and/or scaling the team as needed

Roadmapping and Execution:

  • Forge a growth-oriented product roadmap that paints a vivid picture of compelling user journeys across diverse channels, from web to mobile to email
  • Lead the transformation of bold ideas into tangible products, guiding teams through the entire lifecycle with precision and finesse
  • Orchestrate seamless collaboration among diverse teams, from engineering to marketing to data analysis, to deliver solutions that exceed expectations and drive meaningful impact

Qualifications

  • 10+ years leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact products from concept to launch
  • 4+ years leading and growing high-performing product teams
  • Demonstrated ability to envision and drive transformative strategies that drive executive alignment and are fueled by a compelling narrative of purpose and impact
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth through product and technological solutions
  • Proven track record in forging strong partnerships across departments with diverse talents, to execute product roadmaps with precision and agility, while fostering a culture of trust and innovation
  • Excels in collaborative problem solving, leveraging diverse perspectives to design elegant and effective product solutions
  • Adept at harnessing the power of data to drive informed decisions, skillfully interpreting metrics and user insights to optimize product performance and enhance user experience
  • Delves deeply into challenges, posing incisive questions to unearth root issues, and guide teams toward transformative breakthroughs
  • Skilled in organizational problem-solving and implementing innovative solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
  • Proficient in project management methodologies, prioritization techniques, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Champions a culture of growth and excellence, nurturing the development of product managers and technical team members

The salary for this role is $216,300 annually, and as part of our commitment to pay equity in our organization, the salary for this position is not negotiable.
