As the Manager - Data Quality, you will be responsible for leading a team that contributes to and implements the roadmap for data quality and data governance for the organization. You will oversee the design and implementation of data quality tests, catalog, glossary and lineage, and supporting data domain owners and other users as they leverage the platform to inform their work using the company’s data.

Responsibilities:

  • Understands the vision for data within the Wesco organization, and the role Data Quality and Governance will play in achieving those objectives
  • Coordinates with other Data Office teams to create a roadmap of Data Quality and Governance capabilities to support those teams’ planned initiatives
  • Contributes to the plan for delivering Data Quality and Governance capabilities to the organization
  • Works with business and technical teams to design data quality tests that will certify the data as “fit for purpose” per their requirements
  • Oversees the work of the data quality team as they create the individual elements of the Data Quality and Governance platform
  • Manages, evaluates and develops staff and provides coaching and developmental opportunities
  • Oversees the technical architecture for the Data Quality and Governance platform, including Informatica CDGC and CDQ
  • Guides the curation of data catalog, business glossary and lineage assets to create an intuitive and helpful resource for data consumers
  • Works with Data Domain Owners to design concrete initiatives to implement Data Governance within those domains.
  • Owns the tactical roadmap for Data Quality and Governance and synchronization with other Data Office teams
  • Manages architecture for data domains and other logical structures within the tools (systems, business groups, etc.)
  • Collaborates with Data Owners and Stewards in crafting policies, principles and procedures to enable governance roadmap goals
  • Promotes participation and buy-in from business areas for data governance activities
  • Responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog with direction from the Scaled Product Owner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree - Indicate Discipline – Information Technology, Business or equivalent experience required; Masters Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an agile delivery framework, strategy or requirement development or Product Owner role
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data governance and data quality program management
  • 1 year management or supervisory experience
  • Experience in data governance and or data management including, but not limited to, data management standards and approaches, data quality management, data governance practices, and data stewardship practices.
  • Significant Experience in data governance and or data management including, but not limited to, data management standards and approaches, data quality management, data governance practices, and data stewardship practices preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
