Serves onsite to collaboratively develop and implements radiation to treat patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. Specific duties include: checking patient information; preparing room and equipment; communicating with patient; transferring patient; performing radiation treatment; maintaining schedule; maintaining supplies; keeping records; and assisting with teaching.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Located or willing to relocate to Waldorf, MD or surrounding area
  • Clinical understanding of the processes in a medical and radiation oncology department
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Exemplary communication skills.
  • Clinical experience in Radiation and Medical Oncology
  • Registered by the ARRT in Radiation Therapist
  • Current State License (if applicable)
  • Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility
  • Meets all requirements necessary to gain AOS client site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver’s license, SSN); Criminal background checks; Drug screens; Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus); Annual TB testing; Applicable healthcare training
  • Proficient in utilizing standard business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Associate’s and/or Bachelors Degree with equivalent experience
  • One year (or more) of experience preferred but will consider new graduates
