The Senior Bookkeeper will work closely with the Finance Director to establish and lead bookkeeping operations for newly created US-based joint ventures. You’ll build a real understanding of how the business works, partnering with both the Australian finance team and local US operations to drive performance.
Requirements
- Manage invoices, reconciliations, and daily financial transactions accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities and locations.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure completeness and integrity of financial data.
- Support month-end close and contribute to timely, accurate reporting for management.
- Take ownership of setting up and refining bookkeeping processes for new US venues and ongoing expansion.
- Work closely with the Finance Director to build scalable, efficient finance workflows.
- Identify priorities, recommend improvements, and drive best practice with a high degree of autonomy.
- Assist with US sales tax reporting and other recurring compliance requirements.
- Support payroll coordination and reporting for US operations.
- Act as a key finance contact for both Australian and US stakeholders.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of a junior bookkeeper as the team grows.
- Contribute to building a structured, high-performing offshore finance support function.
- Handle other position-level duties as required.
