Description

We are looking for a PostgreSQL expert to join a small team of database and operations engineers.

Our team manages the infrastructure for a large in-house application platform. We are responsible for several key components, one of the most crucial being a set of PostgreSQL databases.

This year we are kicking off a redesign of the database platform to increase reliability and automation, as well as a project to increase visibility into the platform via monitoring and logging.

We are also planning to bring more structure to database migrations. This will involve working closely with application development teams to ensure this structure is seen as an improvement, rather than a hindrance.

Who you are

• You have experience supporting large on-premise PostgreSQL deployments.
• You have experience with data modeling and data structure design.
• You have experience with, or are willing to learn, maintaining infrastructure via configuration management (i.e. SaltStack, Ansible, Puppet, or similar) and infrastructure as code (i.e. Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• You are comfortable with the Linux command line, and can perform basic OS-level troubleshooting.
• You have a passion and a talent for automation, and are interested in building infrastructure that runs itself.
• You are a great teammate who enjoys learning from others, as well as helping others learn.

Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
