SAP Specialist - German

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Basis Consultant with a minimum of 10 years of operational SAP experience. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in both SAP Basis Technical and Functional areas, as well as a strong understanding of the SAP culture and tools such as tickets, Launchpad/SAP, and more.

Responsibilities:

• SAP Basis Administration: Perform day-to-day activities related to SAP system administration, including system monitoring, user management, performance tuning, system upgrades, and applying patches.

• System Landscape Design: Design and maintain SAP system landscapes to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and scalability. This includes defining system architectures, sizing hardware requirements, and implementing disaster recovery solutions.

• System Installations and Upgrades: Plan and execute SAP system installations and upgrades, including technical upgrades, enhancement pack installations, and support pack installations. Ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business processes.

• Transport Management: Manage the SAP transport system, including the creation, import, and export of transports between different system landscapes. Monitor transport logs and resolve transport-related issues.

• System Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance optimization measures to enhance system responsiveness and efficiency. Conduct regular system health checks and resolve any issues that arise.

• Security and Authorization: Implement and maintain security measures within SAP systems, including user administration, role-based access control, and authorization management. Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry best practices.

• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Respond to and resolve SAP system-related incidents, problems, and service requests. Collaborate with functional teams and other stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Share knowledge and provide guidance to team members and end-users as needed.

• Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, functional consultants, and infrastructure teams, to ensure smooth system operations and effective integration with other systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration, including technical and functional areas.

• German Language is Must.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP system landscapes, system administration, and performance optimization.

• Proficiency in SAP tools and technologies, including tickets, Launchpad/SAP, and other related tools.

• Strong understanding of SAP security and authorization concepts.

• Experience in SAP system installations, upgrades, and system landscape design.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP system-related issues.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• SAP certifications in relevant areas (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration).
