Stay safe on Himalayas

Never send money to companies. Jobs on Himalayas will never require payment from applicants.

We offer salaries of $800k to $1.4 million. W2 or 1099. Guaranteed volume. Hop on or off whenever you want. $100k signing bonus for the right candidate and Med School Debt forgiveness after 10 years.

Opportunity

Expert Radiology is a founder-led teleradiology practice of 26+ radiologists reading primarily outpatient MRI (neuro, MSK, body, general). ~75% MRI, ~98% noncontrast, average patient age 45. No ER, no ICU, no emergent reads. We’re hiring diagnostic radiologists who can read spine MRI and spine X-ray, with a preference for MSK, neuro, and spine subspecialty training.

This isn’t a faceless corporate operation. I’m Avery J. Knapp Jr., M.D. — I started this practice, I still read cases, and I personally approve every hire. You’ll have my direct number from day one.

Compensation That Speaks for Itself

  • $500–$900/hr depending on efficiency and volume
  • $800k to $1.4 million - W2 or 1099
  • $100k onboarding bonus on your first 1,000 MRIs
  • Depositions: $800/hr with a 2-hour minimum (avg. frequency: 1 in 2,000–10,000 cases)
  • Med School Debt forgiveness after 10 years.
  • W-2 available anywhere in the US or Puerto Rico, or 1099 — your call

We don’t do 7-on/7-off. We don’t do night shifts. Our green light / red light system means you read when you want and stop when you want. You’re paid per dictation — the faster and more efficiently you read, the higher your effective hourly rate. Scale up to 1,000+ MRIs/month or keep it at 200. No minimums on any given day.

Technology That Makes You Faster

  • Trained human transcriptionists + RadPair/RadAI generative AI — dramatically faster than voice recognition alone
  • Dedicated case prep team so studies are ready before they hit your queue
  • Communication systems that handle significant findings so you rarely pick up the phone
  • $10K turnkey reading station shipped to you: Tardarus v2, 4 vertical 4K monitors, AHK software. Plug in and read.

We Handle the Overhead

  • Malpractice insurance: fully paid, including tail coverage (IBNR policy)
  • All state medical licenses and renewals: paid by us
  • IMLCC enrollment: we handle it, so new licenses are fast
  • Credentialing: minimal. Some centers don’t require it. Start reading in days, not months.

Your First 90 Days

Every new radiologist is paired with a Rad Advisor — an experienced Expert Radiology radiologist matched to your subspecialty and temperament, personally approved by me. Weekly 1:1s in month one, bi-weekly in months two and three. You’re never figuring things out alone.

The Puerto Rico Option

About 30 of our radiologists read from PR at a 4% effective tax rate under Act 60. If that’s interesting to you, I’ll walk you through it personally. We offer full W-2 employment from PR — a structure no other teleradiology practice can replicate.

What Our Radiologists Say

“Best decision I ever made. Aside from making more per hour than I did previously, working with Expert Radiology gives me the opportunity to split my day up, allowing me to pursue outside interests. The CEO and support staff are always available and very helpful.”— Dr. Chad Barker

“I dropped my 2 prior tele jobs to read only for Expert Radiology for at least the past 12 months. The set up with human transcriptionists is certainly better than Powerscribe and I’m very efficient in my output.”— Dr. Manuel Fortes

“This position has been a dream job. I can read the types of cases I prefer, while making my own hours and completing my work around my life.”— Dr. Michael Connolly

Qualifications

  • Board-certified diagnostic radiologist (ABR)
  • Must be comfortable reading spine MRI and spine X-ray (minimum requirement)
  • Preferred: MSK, neuro, and/or spine fellowship training or equivalent experience
  • US medical license (we’ll handle additional state licenses)
  • Reliable high-speed internet

Stryker's story begins in 1941, when Dr. Homer Stryker, an orthopaedic surgeon from Kalamazoo, Michigan, found that certain medical products were not meeting his patients' needs. Driven by a desire to improve patient care, he invented new ones. As interest in these innovative products grew, Dr. Stryker founded The Orthopedic Frame Company to manufacture them. His initial inventions, such as the Turning Frame (a mobile hospital bed that allowed for repositioning of injured patients while maintaining immobility) and the cast cutter (an apparatus that removed cast material without damaging underlying tissues), laid the foundation for a company dedicated to making surgery and recovery simpler, faster, and more effective. The company's early years were characterized by this spirit of innovation and a commitment to addressing unmet medical needs.

In 1964, the company officially changed its name to Stryker Corporation, reflecting its expanding product lines and growing ambitions. A significant milestone occurred in 1979 when Stryker made an initial public offering of stock, providing the capital for further expansion and strategic acquisitions. This marked the beginning of a period of substantial growth, as Stryker strategically acquired companies like Osteonics Corporation, entering the market for replacement hip, knee, and other orthopedic implants. Throughout the following decades, Stryker continued to diversify its portfolio through acquisitions, venturing into new medical specialties such as neurotechnology, spinal surgery, and endoscopy. By the turn of the millennium, Stryker had established itself as a major player in the medical technology industry, being included in the S&P 500 and Forbes Platinum 400. Today, Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies, offering a diverse array of innovative products and services in Orthopaedics, Medical and Surgical (MedSurg), and Neurotechnology and Spine. With a presence in over 75 countries and impacting more than 150 million patients annually, the company remains true to Dr. Stryker's original mission: 'Together with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better.' This enduring commitment to innovation and patient outcomes continues to fuel Stryker's growth and its position at the forefront of the medical technology field.
