SUMMARY:  TheCurriculum Quality Assurance (CQA) Manager is a strategic leader within the Curriculum Product Operations team, responsible for defining and advancing the vision for curriculum quality at Stride. This role prioritizes proactive quality strategy, innovation, and long-term impact over reactive issue resolution. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, the CQA Manager champions a forward-looking approach to quality assurance that aligns with business goals, accelerates time-to-market, and ensures an exceptional learning experience across all curriculum offerings.

  • Shape and lead the strategic vision for curriculum quality across the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with Stride’s broader academic and business objectives.

  • Establish and evolve quality assurance frameworks, standards, and KPIs to drive consistency, efficiency, and excellence in curriculum development.

  • Act as a key advisor to cross-functional leaders and stakeholders, ensuring that quality considerations are embedded in early-stage planning and product roadmaps.

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA Analysts, cultivating a culture of ownership, innovation, and high performance in quality practices.

  • Collaborate with Product Development, Curriculum, and Technology teams to define quality milestones, test plans, and scalable review strategies for curriculum builds.

  • Drive the adoption of automation and advanced QA technologies to enhance review processes, reduce manual effort, and accelerate release timelines.

  • Proactively analyze curriculum trends, quality data, and feedback loops to anticipate future needs and steer QA strategies accordingly.

  • Develop and communicate insights through metrics, dashboards, and reports that inform strategic decision-making and demonstrate curriculum quality outcomes.

  • Cultivate subject matter expertise among direct reports in QA tools, systems, and methodologies, maintaining a strong grasp of evolving industry standards and innovations.

  • Participate in and influence product planning, road mapping, and retrospectives to ensure a unified approach to quality and continuous improvement.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 1–6 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees or contractors. Responsibilities include hiring, training, performance management, and team development, in alignment with company policies and leadership principles.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Five (5) years of experience in curriculum QA or related product quality leadership roles, with proven success in strategic planning and execution

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across teams and levels

  • Deep understanding of quality assurance in curriculum development, including tools, methodologies, and industry best practices

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement across teams and systems

  • Customer- and outcome-focused mindset, with a commitment to educational excellence

  • Ability to clear required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • BS or MS in a related field, or equivalent strategic leadership experience

  • Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA and learning management systems

  • Experience working in Agile or product-led environments

  • Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

  • We anticipate this position will pay a salary of $80,000.00 to $98,539.00. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
  • This is a remote position. This position is open to residents of, and may be performed remotely from Washington, D.C., and from any of the 50 States.
