As a Cabinet Vision Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for custom cabinetry projects using Cabinet Vision software. This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, proficiency in CAD, and the ability to interpret design specifications accurately.
What You'll Do
- Utilize Cabinet Vision software to create accurate 3D models and shop drawings for custom cabinetry projects.
- Collaborate with designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and translate design concepts into technical drawings.
- Generate cut lists, material lists, and CNC machine files from Cabinet Vision drawings to facilitate the manufacturing process.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.
- Incorporate changes and revisions to drawings based on feedback from clients and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless communication and implementation of design plans.
- Review and verify dimensions, materials, and hardware specifications for accuracy and feasibility.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who:Strong experience with Cabinet Vision software (essential)
- Must have experience with Cabinet Vision
- Ability to produce accurate shop drawings, cutting lists, and 3D renders
- Excellent understanding of cabinetmaking, joinery, and construction methods
- Ability to liaise with production staff to clarify details
- Strong knowledge of materials, hardware, and finishes
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Trade qualification in cabinetmaking/joinery or 3+ years experience in drafting/setting out
