The Recruiting Specialist has the responsibility to attract and attain high performing talent into the organization. The Recruiting Specialist assists with full cycle recruitment for all of the Company's hourly and salaried staffing requirements with a primary focus on various levels of production hires consisting of assemblers, machine operators, compounders, engineers, technicians etc.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with hiring managers to establish staffing requirements and assists HR Managers and Recruiter in the creation of job requisitions in the Applicant Tracking System (Workable).
  • Coordinates and conducts telephone prescreening interviews and participates in formal interviewing with support from relevant team members.
  • Interacts directly with recruiting vendors to include medical screening vendors, background check vendors, and advertisement vendors to ensure the needs of the recruiting team are being met.
  • Manages the offer process to include preparing employment offer letters and packets, conducting reference and background checks, and working with a third-party vendor to confirm clearance of the candidates to start work.
  • Coordinates with Field HR to ensure the orientation process is completed for all new hires.
  • Develops an understanding of business requirements, organization plans and candidate qualifications by establishing partnerships with assigned business units.
  • Responds to new hire inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, etc.
  • Assists with the planning of staff events, etc.
  • Attends job fairs as needed at colleges and Spartech plants.
  • Maintains relationships with business networks and professional organizations to gain knowledge and obtain referrals.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Bachelor's in business administration or equivalent experience.
    • Experience with interviewing, recruiting and staffing, human resources, HR policies and procedures, and employment law.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Ability to multitask, analytical skills, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, negotiation skills, time/priority management skills.
    • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint.
    • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels and types of internal and external individuals, including speaking effectively before groups or employees of organization.

This position reports to the Company Recruiter.
