the business operations manager - pro services (PS) is responsible for driving strategic initiatives and outcomes across soona’s pro services business. they will have excellent business acumen and communication skills and enjoy working with cross-functional partners to tackle complex problems while developing and implementing data-driven solutions. they will thrive in the pace of change of a high growth startup. most importantly, they are curious and enjoy diving deep into a wide range of challenges and opportunities.
this role is remote friendly and reports into the VP of Marketplace.

Requirements
an ideal candidate can:
- quickly grasp soona and pro services’ unique businesses, gaining a deep understanding of our goals, strategy, and priorities
- provide category analyses and customer insights from various data sources including competitive analysis, pricing, and sales
- evaluate information and create clear and compelling business cases and recommendations to grow pro services to internal and external stakeholders
- build scalable processes and leverage and/or implement technology to drive efficiencies and improvement
- partner with marketing, product, sales, and operations to bring new initiatives to life, assess performance, and iterate to achieve increasingly better outcomes
- create and leverage financial models and scorecards to manage expectations, monitor growth, and inform future decisions
has experience in:
- 3-4 years of experience in analytical roles in fast paced tech companies, strategy consulting firms or similar environments
- financial modeling with strong analytical capabilities, including advanced Excel skills
- leveraging business insights, including financial analysis, competitive positioning, and market dynamics to make strategic recommendations
- launching, evolving and scaling new business models
- exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- analytical mindset, skilled at data input and reporting analysis
- thrives in a fast-pace, ever-changing startup environment
