The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As ourBusiness Development Manager you will be responsible for the strategic and commercial development of single-use Negative Pressure Wound Therapy solutions for closed surgical incisions and open wounds within the national territory.
This role is considered highly strategic in driving the development and expansion of the hospital-to-community continuum of care business through the disposable NPWT system Prevena™.
The position will focus on identifying new market opportunities, building integrated care pathways with healthcare stakeholders, and accelerating the adoption of disposable NPWT solutions across both inpatient and outpatient settings, in a rapidly growing market environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business strategies to increase the adoption of NPWT solutions for closed incision and open wound management with single-use and portable devices.
- Identify new business opportunities within public and private hospitals, clinics, and specialized healthcare centers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, wound care specialists, specialized nurses, hospital management, and procurement departments.
- Support product introduction and clinical adoption through training activities and field demonstrations.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop territorial growth plans and suggest new tools.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and clinical-commercial opportunities to identify strategic growth areas.
- Consult in hospital tenders, procurement processes, and bidding activities.
- Ensure achievement of assigned sales, growth, and profitability targets.
- Organize and participate in congresses, scientific meetings, and educational events.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum is looking for candidates with the following experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in scientific, biomedical, healthcare, or business-related fields
- Proven experience in the medical device industry, wound care, surgery, or negative pressure wound therapy
- Strong knowledge of the hospital market and healthcare procurement processes
- Experience managing clinical and decision-making stakeholders
- Strong business development and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Results-oriented mindset with a consultative selling approach
- Availability for frequent business travel within the assigned territory
- Good level of English knowledge (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
Location: remote, ideally based in the Center-North Italy
Travel:May include up to 80% [domestic]
