Remote (with travel to Solihull 5 times per month for meetings)

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus benefits (depending on experience)

As our Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in fortifying our defences, protecting individuals, and sustaining operational integrity in the face of evolving cybersecurity challenges.

Working closely with external partners and internal teams, you will assist in various aspects of threat intelligence and cyber operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient coordination, management, and communication of all cyber activities, contributing valuable insights and proactive measures to enhance our overall cybersecurity posture. You will be instrumental in supporting cyber operations activity across Serco’s estate, offering expert advice, and fostering relationships with support teams, third parties, service managers, and internal customers.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

• Proactively engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Drive improvements across threat intelligence and other areas of Cyber Security Operations.
• Conduct comprehensive threat assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Monitor and analyse cyber threats, producing actionable intelligence reports.
• Develop and maintain threat intelligence policies and procedures.
• Provide timely response and mitigation strategies for emerging security incidents.

What you’ll need to do the role:

• Strong understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors, and mitigation measures.
• Knowledge of industry frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
• Ideally you will have previous experience as a threat intelligence analyst with a desire to grow to a more senior level.
• Understanding of networking protocols, traffic analysis, and network security tools.
• Familiarity with performing log analysis using SIEM tools.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of staff.
• Analytical skills to interpret complex threat data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Familiarity with malware analysis and reverse engineering.
• Professional certifications such as CySA, Sec+, GCTI, CISM, CISSP, GCIH would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with DevOps methods, Agile, and ITIL frameworks would be beneficial.
