Learning Content Designer

Home based

Full Time, Fixed Term Contract – 6 months (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Here at Serco, we are looking for 2 Learning Content Designers to join the Learning and Development team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, to meet short term demand for new eLearning content that enhances the learning and development offered to Serco colleagues across the business. This is a role where both your creative flair and appetite for originality combine to produce amazing digital content that will ignite the imagination of both UK and Global audiences.

You will work closely with the Design team, to review, scope and agree content requirements, identify best solutions and design and present digital content to the highest possible standard. You will also have responsibility for the review and quality control of digital content, working with key stakeholders to ensure content remains current and fit for purpose.

As part of this you’ll:

  • Design digital learning solutions, including eLearning, interactive PDFs, infographics and video content.
  • Develop digital learning assets using Articulate Storyline, Rise and the Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role play, games etc).
  • Amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment and due to regulatory changes.
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs.
  • Create and provide exercise and activities that enhance the learning process.
  • Ensure the learning solutions are of high quality and meet business requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and business departments.

What you’ll need to do the role:

  • Proven knowledge and experience of eLearning authoring tools, Articulate 360 and Vyond.
  • Ability to use tools such as Adobe Suite, Canva and PowerPoint to create and edit assets.
  • Good all-round abilities in other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging eLearning tools and applications.
  • Creativity and ability to write content that is both meaningful and motivational.
