We are looking for an ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with some experience in accountancy training to join First Intuition Limited. You will work in our financial reporting faculty as part of a growing education team. You’ll support level 4 and level 7 programmes for learners taking ACA, CIMA and ACCA professional exams including leading on content updates, assessment marking and online teaching. The roles involve taking responsibility for the content on our online courses, producing written and recorded content, marking assessments and leading the marking team to ensure timeliness, consistency and quality in our marking. You will also do some live online teaching and answer learner queries. You’ll use your skills, experience and passion for education to support the growth of our Education Team.

This role is split between content creation, assessment marking and teaching. We are looking for people who will excel at both delivering written and recorded content and also at teaching online live classes. You must be passionate about helping learners improve performance, which you will do by giving personal, and constructive comments on their assessments and through dealing with their queries appropriately. An attention to detail and ability to follow and develop process is essential. You must also be comfortable with managing and prioritising your own workload to tight, externally driven, deadlines. We don’t expect you to have dealt with content or assessment before, as full training will be given. What we want you to bring is a passion and understanding of what it takes for our learners to pass their professional exams.

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Reviewing and updating our learning resources for syllabus, technical and other changes
  • Taking responsibility for online courses in your subject area and recording lectures for those courses
  • Liaising across the business with internal stakeholders to ensure our learning resources are fit for purpose
  • Marking assessments and leading a team of markers in your subject area. Ensuring the assessments are for purpose and ensuring the timeliness, consistency and quality of marking feedback provided to learners across the marking team
  • Supporting students in their learning by answering queries, providing timely feedback
  • Teaching online live courses
  • Attending conferences with Institutes to keep abreast of developments in your subject areas

Requirements

  • Qualified to a level 7 standard or equivalent ACCA, CIMA. CA or ACA
  • Effective at communicating technical detail through the written word, recorded lectures and online live courses.
  • Attention to detail, but with a pragmatism that ensures the timely production of learner resources
  • A learner focussed approach to assessment marking, focussed on ensuring their improved performance
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A positive and solution focused attitude to work
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Ability to follow and develop process
  • Computer literate
