What You’ll Do:

As the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will serve as a key member of Slingshot Aerospace’s Management Committee, responsible for driving go-to-market results and strategic growth initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CRO will play a critical role in strategic planning, Go-to-Market expertise in Commercial and Government, deal discipline, inspection, and forecasting accuracy to meet the demands of our rapidly expanding customer base.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Execute all position responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose
  • Regularly communicate clear roles, goals and expectations for team members; promote a culture of feedback and accountability
  • Foster a culture of personal and professional growth
  • Leverage our leadership and management competencies to develop, lead and inspire a diverse, high-performing team
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans to scale the company
  • Ensure performance, strategy, and alignment of the company’s revenue-generating teams
  • Build and foster innovative teams that are committed to our mission
  • Manage the global sales team to drive business growth across all customer segments, and share responsibility with the marketing department for improving strategy and customer experience
  • Maximize reach and efficiency by strategically adding new, scalable partners
  • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary for sustainable growth
  • Perform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)
  • Analyze the market for developing opportunities, providing competitive strategies and tactics
  • Deeply understanding and connecting with the customer journey to ensure that their needs are being centered in product development and enhancement cycles
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver pricing strategies and business models by crafting the revenue engine
  • (Creating transparency?) Identifying and resolving issues across the marketing, sales, and account management teams
  • Influencing deal structures and participating in contract negotiations

Pre-Requisites

  • This position requires an active TS/SCI government security clearance
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time

Minimum Requirements

  • 15+ years of diverse and proven leadership driving and implementing revenue growth with preference given to experience within the B2B/B2G space industry, including expertise in Space Control and SSA mission
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, international business, or related field
  • Proficient in general management and P&L supervision
  • Data obsessed with expertise in accurately making decisions based on business metrics
  • Demonstrated experience translating ideas into actions
  • Mastery in deploying nimble business productivity tools that simplify and empower the organization’s growth
  • Skilled in working with Title 10, Title 50, FedCiv, and international entities
  • Intentional leader with the ability to build a culture of excellence

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Knowledge

  • A nuanced understanding of both the commercial and government space sectors
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment or growing a company at scale
  • Proven track record with international growth
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration, marketing or related field
