The Value Data Analyst plays a critical role in quantifying and articulating the business and security impact of Secure Code Warrior (SCW) training programs. This role sits at the intersection of application security, developer enablement, and data analytics, translating complex security and workflow data into clear, credible insights that demonstrate measurable improvement across the software development lifecycle.
The Value Data Analyst partners closely with customers and internal teams to analyze how developer training influences vulnerability reduction, flaw remediation, ticket resolution, and code quality, enabling organizations to clearly understand and communicate the value of secure coding practices at scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and execute customer-facing case studies that demonstrate the relationship between developer training and improvements in application security workflows
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders—including AppSec, DevOps, Security Architecture, Training & Enablement, and Engineering leadership—to define meaningful KPIs and success criteria
  • Translate quantitative findings and qualitative insights into compelling, executive-ready value narratives that resonate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Analyze SCW training, comprehension, and engagement data
  • Build advanced data visualizations and dashboards that clearly communicate impact and insights
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize SCW training strategies based on observed upstream and downstream impacts
  • Establish governance models and best practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and credibility in value measurement
  • Contribute to internal enablement, external content, and strategic conversations that elevate SCW’s position as a leader in developer-driven security

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of strong experience in data analysis, analytics, or security metrics, ideally within application security, DevOps, or developer enablement environments
  • Experience translating complex technical data into clear, actionable insights and executive-level narratives
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to leadership and customers
  • Highly curious and detail-oriented, with a strong desire to understand how and why security improvements happen
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where it doesn’t yet exist

Highly Desirable

  • Background in application security, secure software development, or DevSecOps
  • Familiarity with common vulnerability management tools, CI/CD pipelines, and code repositories
  • Experience developing customer case studies, value frameworks, or ROI models
  • Exposure to security standards and frameworks (e.g., OWASP Top 10, NIST, CWE)
  • Experience in a SaaS or security-focused organization

We champion change in secure coding.

It is known that the same 10 software vulnerabilities have caused more security breaches in the last 20+ years than any others. And yet, many businesses will still opt for the post-scan, post-breach, post-event remediation approach; muddling through the human and business ramifications of it all.

So in this world where code is at the heart of everyday interactions - from Banking to Healthcare; Transport to Retail, or to forward thinking Governments around the world - Secure Code Warrior raise our (metaphorical) shields against this attitude, preferring instead to pioneer a human-led approach that uncovers the secure developer inside every coder.

We make increasing a developer's secure coding skills a positive and engaging experience. That makes us the developer-chosen solution. We are successful because we take that human-led approach with our Learning Platform, providing positive skills-based pathways for developers in the language:framework of their choice.

We also recognize that timely and relevant security knowledge for developers is essential to the success of DevSecOps, and our Developer Tools and Integrations enable you to provide your development and security teams with contextual and hyper-relevant learning within their preferred workflow, empowering them to not just find vulnerabilities, but gain the knowledge and skills to fix them - preventing them from occurring in the first place.

Through inspiring a global community of security-conscious developers to embrace this preventative secure coding approach, our mission is to pioneer a human-led, people-first solution to security upskilling; stamping out poor coding patterns and those 10 common vulnerabilities (and of course, the others too) for good.
