Systems Engineer

SUMMARY

We're lookingfor a key player to join our team, focusing on our core data center and cloudplatforms for clients in the fast-paced financial services industry. This is atrue engineering role, not a simple administration position. You will bechallenged to solve complex problems and design robust, scalable solutions. Asa senior member of the team, you will elevate our technical capabilities anddirectly contribute to the stability and performance of the infrastructure thatpowers our clients' operations.

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES

• Architect & Implement: Leadthe design, implementation, and support of new technology projects, frominitial scoping and client onboarding to final delivery.
  
• Manage Core Platforms: Takeownership of our multi-tenant infrastructure, including VMware, Proxmox, andcloud environments in Azure.
  
• Optimize & Maintain:Proactively monitor our systems with CheckMK, manage storage on Pure Storageand HPE, and ensure the health of our Citrix delivery platforms as well asother Key technologies
  
• Troubleshoot & Resolve: Actas a final escalation point for complex technical issues, performing deep-diveroot cause analysis and collaborating with support teams to ensure timelyresolution.
  
• Collaborate & Innovate:Work closely with a team of skilled engineers to share knowledge, improveprocesses, and evaluate emerging technologies.
  
• Provide Critical Support:Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support forcritical infrastructure.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Virtualization: RedHatOpenshift, VMware ESXi/vCenter, Proxmox VE
  
• Cloud: Microsoft Azure(IaaS/PaaS)
  
• Application & DesktopDelivery: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix NetScaler (ADC)
  
• Storage: Pure Storage, HPE
  
• Operating Systems: WindowsServer, Linux
  
• Monitoring: CheckMK or similarenterprise monitoring tools
  
• Experience: A minimum of 8years in a system engineering role, with a strong preference for experience ina Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
  
• Problem-Solver: You are alogical thinker with a talent for identifying the root cause of an issue andimplementing effective, long-term solutions.
  
• Ownership: You are aself-starter who can work independently but also knows when to engage the teamto mitigate risk and achieve project goals.
  
• Resilience: You perform wellunder pressure and can manage priorities effectively, even with shortdeadlines.
  
• Certifications: Industrycertifications like Azure Solutions Architect Expert, MCSE, VCP, or CCP arehighly desirable.
  
• Availability: You must be ableto work Eastern Time (EST) business hours and be available for occasionalnight/weekend work as part of the on-call rotation.
