Position Summary:

Samsung SDS America is seeking a MDM Systems Engineer specializing in the implementation of Enterprise Mobility solutions to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust enterprise mobility solutions that drive efficiency, security, and seamless user experiences.

Your expertise will play a key role in helping organizations navigate the complexities of mobile device management, application deployment, and data security within their enterprise environments. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, deliver tailored solutions, and provide support throughout the implementation process.

This is a 100% remote position. Candidate should be based in the Washington, DC metro or greater surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand client business requirements and translate them into technical mobility solutions that align with their organizational goals.
  • Configure and implement enterprise mobility solutions, focusing on mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of mobility solutions with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Deploy and configure Windows Server VMs running Java-based MDM software in secure, air‑gapped, or private cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues involving performance, stability, networking, and security—both remotely and on-site.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and IT teams to ensure effective utilization of mobility solutions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed implementation documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guidance, and user manuals.
  • Evaluate and re-engineer existing processes to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory standards related to enterprise mobility.
  • Business Travel requirement: 20% domestic

Requirements

  • 4+ years deploying and supporting VMware and private cloud infrastructure
  • Strong experience with AD CS, IIS, Apache Tomcat, MS SQL Server
  • Android Enterprise provisioning and MDM experience
  • Understanding of PKI, certificate-based authentication, and containerization (Podman/Docker)
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and ADB
  • Ability to work independently in secure, high‑stakes environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with FIPS, NIAP, STIG, CSfC, and other U.S. government security frameworks
  • Experience configuring network technologies (firewalls, DNS, VPN, DHCP)
  • Background with solutions like BlackBerry UEM or Omnissa Workspace ONE
  • Confidential level US security clearance a plus; not required
  • CCNA
  • VMware Certified Professional

The base pay range for this role is USD $130,000 - $150,000 per year depending on appropriate skills, experience, and technical level.

Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.

Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
