The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Cloud Consultant to join us in Brazil. In this role, you will create possibilities, solve problems, and establish working relationships with our customers. You will help explain the benefits of Red Hat cloud solutions to our customers. You'll gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructures and business needs. As a Consultant, you will work closely with customers on various specific initiatives including architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Red Hat related cloud and container solutions, including Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Kubernetes based technologies. You'll need to have excellent technical abilities and solid communication and customer-facing skills. You won't be expected to know everything on day one, but your ability to learn new technology quickly will be essential.

What you will do

  • Routinely assess, design, and implement Red Hat's core offerings, including Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible Tower, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage (Ceph and Gluster), and Kubernetes based technologies.

  • Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions with a focus on infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and high availability and system resilience

  • Learn new technologies quickly, including container orchestration, container registries, container build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networks

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs

  • Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions

  • Adapt to changing customer requirements

  • Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner

  • Deliver quality results both on-site and post-engagement that are on time and within the scope of the assigned project, including project journals, status reports, and other standard documentation

  • Participate in sales and proposal presentations as needed in addition to completing ongoing team account activities

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in computer science, engineering or MBA

  • 3+ years of experience with Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative

  • 2+ years of experience working with Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Docker, or any other Container and PaaS related technologies

  • 2+ years of scripting or programming experience

  • Knowledge of system management, including installation, custom channels, deploying virtualized systems, basic client-based security, repositories, and creating core builds.

The following are considered a plus

  • Proven experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and other Red Hat products.

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, including Agile (e.g. Scrum), Waterfall, and Incremental

  • Agile and DevOps mindsets are desired Willingness to study and learn Agile Practices.

  • Red Hat Certifications.
