Product Hunt

Product Hunt surfaces the best new products, every day. It's a place for product-loving enthusiasts to share and geek out about the latest mobile apps, websites, hardware projects, and tech creations.

Community members can submit, browse, vote and comment on daily submissions of products and collections of products. They also get the opportunity to interact directly with product creators, investors, journalists, as well as, an active community of people who are passionate about products.

History

Product Hunt launched on November 6, 2013. It began as an email list built using Linkydink. On July 17, 2014, Product Hunt announced Y Combinator backing. The company announced it would receive $6.1 million in Series A funding led by Andreessen Horowitz in Fall 2013.

In September 2017, Product Hunt launched Ship, which is a suite of tools for makers to generate demand for the products they create, and in February 2018, Product Hunt released a new tech news aggregator app, called Sip. 

Funding

In November 2016, AngelList acquired Product Hunt for $20 million.
