Job Summary

Porch is seeking a Technical Program Manager with strong technical and insuranceexpertise, combined with strategic leadership abilities, to oversee key Insurance initiatives from planning through deployment. The successful candidate will ensuretimelyand within-budget delivery of programs that involve software products, engineering teams, and business stakeholders. This critical role requires adept management of ambiguity, development of actionable plans, stakeholder alignment, evaluation of technical solutions, and effective communication with senior leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring deep home insurance domain knowledge, exceptional communication and leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage cross-functional technical programs from planning through execution.

What You Will Do As A Senior Technical Program Manager

  • Strategic program planningincludingtimelines, and success metrics fortechnical insuranceinitiatives.

  • Develop program roadmaps and align initiatives with business strategy.

  • Facilitate communication between engineering, product, design, and other teams. Ensure alignment ofobjectives,deliverables, technicaldependencies,.andtimelydelivery.

  • Possessdeepunderstanding of relevant technologies. Guide teams in technical decision-making, architecture, and problem-solving.

  • Anticipate potential obstacles, develop risk management plans, and implement corrective actions to keep programs on track.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for program status, updates, and escalations.

  • Facilitate regular check-ins and reporting to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

  • Manage and communicate changes in project scope, priorities, and requirements. Ensure teams adapt effectively to evolving business needs.

  • Ensure transparency and accountability across all workstreams.

  • Partner with engineering leads toscopetechnical work, define dependencies, and manage resource allocation.

  • Ensure deliverables meet business, technical, and compliance standards. Oversee testing, validation, and documentation processes.

  • Understand system architecture and data flows toanticipateintegration challenges and guide resolution.

  • Apply knowledge of home insurance workflows, regulatory requirements, and policy administration systems to guide program decisions.

  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and support teams to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.

  • Evaluate and refine development processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and team satisfaction.

  • Monitor KPIs and program metrics. Prepare status reports, dashboards, and post-mortem analyses to drive continuous improvement.

  • Implement best practices for documentation, communication, and change management.

What You Will Bring As A Senior Technical Program Manager

  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management,with at leastfouryearsininsurance.

  • Strong understanding of home insurance systems, workflows, and regulatory considerations.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex programs.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize technical and business information for diverse audiences.

  • Highly organized with strong planning and prioritization skills.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Preferred Skills

  • Experiencemanaging programsthatinvolvepolicy administration platforms.

  • Experience withpolicysystem migrations,data migration,systemintegrations,configuration, and testing in insurance systems.

  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and external dependencies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’spreferred).

  • PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification.

What You Will GetAsAPorch Group Team Member

Pay Range*:$140,000 - $180,000

*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflecta number offactors amongwhich areyour work experience and skillsets,job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.

Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
