Financial Analyst

The financial analyst will focus on scaling reporting and will provide high-quality analysis, reporting, and research to inform executive-level decision making.

Requirements

Things You Will Do:

• Report to Senior Manager, Finance and support entire Finance team, senior leadership and executives on corporate financial planning, strategy and M&A
• Prepare financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual). Gather, consolidate and analyze operating and financial results to prepare internal and external reporting deliverables, analyze trends & drivers, and explain forecast vs. actual variances
• Leverage financial systems to scale, automate and improve current reporting processes
• Build, leverage and maintain forecasting models within Anaplan (financial planning system)
• Make recommendations for improvements and identify optimization opportunities by preparing trend and other analyses
• Support and drive quarterly financial review meetings with business partners, which include both controllable expenses, capital purchase planning and personnel
• Work with operational managers within the organization to develop comprehensive evaluation of financial results, focusing on key metrics
• Assist with the annual budgeting process, including management of budget timeline and preparation of revenue and expense models
• Collaborate with Accounting on the monthly close process including comparison of actual results to those forecasted/planned and identify any directional changes that may be necessary
• Undertake in-depth research, analysis, and due diligence of the target companies/opportunities and relevant industries to understand financial and operating models, key strategies, and historical performance

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or other related field with a top-tier academic background
• 2-4 years of FP&A, corporate finance or data analytics experience
• Strong financial acumen
• Advanced in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial systems (e.g., Anaplan, Hyperion, Adaptive, SAP etc.)
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Ability to develop systems’ reports and queries
• Ability to develop forecasting models
• Excellent analytical, diagnostic, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; the ability to comprehend and handle large volumes of data and summarize key facts and conclusions
• Willingness to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences

Benefits

Compensation: Perceptyx is focused on equitable pay for all our staff and aims for transparency with our pay practices. This position has a base salary range of $70,000 to $90,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
