PeopleCert's journey began in 2000, founded by Byron Nicolaides with a vision to become a global leader in the assessment and certification of professional skills. What started with roots in Greece has blossomed into an international force, driven by the core values of Quality, Innovation, Passion, and Integrity. From its early days, PeopleCert focused on partnering with multinational organizations and government bodies to develop and deliver market-leading exams, recognizing the growing need for standardized and verifiable qualifications in an increasingly globalized workforce. The company's commitment to leveraging state-of-the-art technology for exam delivery and management quickly set it apart, enabling it to offer secure and accessible certification solutions worldwide.

A significant milestone in PeopleCert's evolution was the strategic acquisition of AXELOS in 2021, a joint venture between the UK Government and Capita plc, and the custodian of globally recognized best practice methodologies such as ITIL® for IT service management and PRINCE2® for project management. This acquisition solidified PeopleCert's position as a powerhouse in the professional certification landscape, expanding its portfolio to include some of the most sought-after qualifications by professionals and organizations. This move also marked PeopleCert as the first Greek-origin Unicorn, with a valuation exceeding USD 1 billion. Throughout its growth, PeopleCert has remained dedicated to empowering individuals to enhance their careers and lives through learning and certification. The company has delivered millions of exams in over 200 countries and territories, and in 25 languages, fostering professional development and organizational efficiency on a massive scale. Its innovative approach includes award-winning online proctoring solutions, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of its certifications for a global audience. Today, PeopleCert continues to expand its offerings, including language certifications through LanguageCert and a wide array of professional skills qualifications, driven by a mission to help people and organizations unlock their full potential.
