JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Office for the Senior Vice President for Research is hiring a part time web development assistant to support WordPress websites across the research enterprise.
A major focus of the position will be managing the infrastructure, automation, and performance for 12 WordPress websites. The person in the role will be responsible for testing and deploying weekly plugin updates and establishing workflows between production and development sites in a managed hosting environment. The position will also support content development for new and existing websites.
The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, and experience managing development workflows for Wordpress websites. Strong preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in DevOps, Pressable Hosting, WordPress, HTML, and CSS.
This is a remote position with opportunities for local hires to join in-person meetings and team gatherings. Candidates should plan to be available for meetings during business hours (8-5 EST, M-F), but a bulk of the work can be completed on a flexible schedule. The candidate should be self-directed with an ability to organize and prioritize their work to meet established deadlines.
