The PDQ Accountant role provides support to the Controller by recording financial transactions, reconciling accounting information, and generating and analyzing reports from that information while following accepted accounting principles and ensuring the company maintains accurate financial records.

How you might spend your day:

  • Assisting with payroll processing
  • Apply customer payments from the daily bank detail – Credit card, wire and ACH
  • Apply check payments to invoices and take checks to the bank for deposit
  • Record all purchases made on company credit cards and attach documentation in the accounting software
  • Enter bills from vendors in the accounting software and ensure all documentation is attached
  • Investigate duplicate payments or payments from unknown origins in order to credit the correct customer and invoice
  • Handling sales tax compliance notices and various mail notices
  • Respond to customer requests for documentation
  • Calculating and processing commissions payments

Who you are:

  • Possess excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task, while working independently
  • Able to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner, both orally and in writing
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective organizational, stress, and time management skills
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Resourceful and eager to help customers and colleagues as efficiently and effectively as possible
  • Understanding of GAAP
  • Ability to work within accounting software and systems

We're looking for people who have:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience with AR and AP required
  • Experience with Netsuite and Avalara preferred
  • Credit card processing and sales tax knowledge preferred
