We are currently seeking a Senior Banker Analyst with M&A experience to join a prominent U.S.-based investment firm. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive financial analysis and support for merger and acquisition transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial modeling and analysis: Creating complex financial models for valuations, performance forecasting, and financial planning. For example, taking a company’s historical financial statements and building detailed projections.
- Accounting review: Good mastery of accounting standards (GAAP) to be able to understand financial statements and determine if changes need to be made. For example, if an income statement shows cost of sales in the operating expense section, that would need to be fixed.
- Presentation materials: Advanced abilities in PowerPoint and a good eye for design. Ability to build detailed and beautiful presentation materials.
- Deal execution: Assisting in all stages of deal execution, which in addition to the financial / accounting responsibilities, also includes preparing marketing materials (English fluency a must), conducting due diligence, and drafting documents.
- General support: Supporting senior bankers in developing client relationships. But this position does not involve any direct selling or pitching.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking, focusing on M&A, private equity, or similar fields.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and transaction structuring.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey insights and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling software; familiarity with Bloomberg or similar platforms is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals.
