We're Paddle, and we're on a mission to revolutionize how software businesses sell their products globally. Founded in 2012 by Christian Owens and Harrison Rose, we saw firsthand the complexities and frustrations that software companies face when trying to manage payments, subscriptions, and tax compliance across different countries. It was clear that creators should be able to focus on what they do best – building amazing products – not getting bogged down in the operational headaches of selling them.

That's why we built Paddle as a Merchant of Record (MoR). This means we take on the burden of these complexities for our customers. We handle everything from payment processing and global sales tax remittance to subscription management and fraud protection. Instead of our customers having to piece together and maintain a complicated stack of different payment and compliance tools, we offer a single, unified platform that simplifies it all. This approach allows software companies to operate and grow automatically, saving them time, resources, and a lot of potential headaches. We're proud to support thousands of software and digital product companies around the world, helping them to scale their operations, enter new markets, and ultimately, focus on innovation and growth. Our goal is to be the most intuitive, powerful, and flexible billing platform on the market, empowering businesses to thrive in the global digital economy.
