Job Description

What You’ll Do:

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Planning, you will work directly with the Marketing team on leading and driving the effectiveness of all Individual Insurance Services (IIS) web properties rankings, as well as drive on-site search performance deliver with the ability to prioritize and develop relevant and engaging content to increase organic and paid web traffic.

The core parts of your role will be to:

  • Responsible for analyzing the Individual Insurance Services websites SEO and developing an advanced improvement strategy plan with frameworks and timelines.
  • Responsible for maximizing the organic traffic to IIS websites by improving SERPs ( Search engine result pages ) including the development and maintenance of keyword list and ad copy
  • Responsible for deploying an effective local and long-tail search strategy
  • Analyzing, reviewing and implementing changes to all IIS website so they are optimized for all search engines
  • Responsible for developing keyword reach content and provide content improvement recommendations with a view of improving traffic.
  • Accountable for compiling, presenting and updating SEO & SEM performance reports
  • Keep up-to-date on SEO & SEM guidelines to ensure complete compliance
  • Create, develop, execute and optimize all paid search strategies
  • Track, monitor and ensure all campaigns are delivering or exceeding against KPIs and run analysis to improve overall ROI
  • Manage bids and budgets, test and optimize keywords and creative; maintain forecasts and goal metric tracking
  • Develop ongoing testing and learning initiatives while compiling new tactics that will continuously achieve actionable results and improve campaign performance
  • Identify opportunities for advancement by analyzing competitive environments, traffic patterns and market trends
  • Locate anomalies and investigate problems taking ownership through resolution of the issue
  • Analyze and translate data from web analytics into an actionable insights and reports
  • Aggressively pursue relevant opportunities for link-building
  • Proactively pursue and test new tools and approaches in SEO & SEM
  • Work with the Marketing team to optimize content across all digital platforms

Qualifications

Let’s Talk About You:

This is the unique blend of skills and experience we would love to see in an ideal candidate:

  • Relevant post-secondary education with an emphasis on marketing/digital marketing/web optimization
  • 3 to 5 years strong technical experience in both online and offline Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing with proven success with Google ad accounts
  • Experience building, launching, setting up and QA’ing accounts across multiple search engines.
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Proficiency in Excel, including extensive work with pivot tables and data manipulation.
  • Must be detail oriented, have exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Highly developed analytical and online research skills.
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, WebTrends and Keyword Planner Tool).
  • Google AdWords & Bing Ads certified.
  • Experience with bid management tools (e.g. Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite) is a nice to have
  • Experience with SEO tools such as SEM Rush, Moz, Raven Tools, SpyFu
  • Excellent English verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks and projects independently as well as manage multiple accounts.
  • Proven knowledge of HTML, CSS, various programming language and website administration. Knowledge within Kentico is a nice to have.
  • Experience in custom Google Analytics and Web Master Tools troubleshooting
