Permanent contract | full-time 37 hours per week | £34,834 to £36,648 per annum (Grade I) | Norwich – hybrid working

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Guidance Adviser working across Norfolk.

As a Guidance Adviser, you will engage with NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) SEND (special educational needs and disability) young people with an EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan) who are aged 16-24.

You will assess and identify individual needs and provide impartial guidance, advice, and advocacy to assist young people to make successful transitions into education or employment with accredited training.

You will be able to demonstrate your skills in engaging vulnerable and hard to reach young people using a range of delivery methods, both virtual and face to face.

You will have a good understanding of the issues for young people with SEND in Norfolk and strong partnership working with both internal colleagues and external partners. A good understanding of Post 16 Education and Training and the provision available in Norfolk for young people with SEND is a key aspect of the role.

Norfolk County Council operates a hybrid working model and we anticipate that working remotely will be a feature of this role, your office base will be in County Hall, Norwich. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
