The ideal candidate for this role will bring a strong background in Finance and Compliance, enhanced by direct, recent experience in web3 technologies from leading protocols or significant web3 projects. This role is designed to lead our financial strategy and operations to leverage the unique opportunities presented by web3. The role involves intricate treasury management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and forging effective collaborations within the web3 ecosystem alongside traditional financial systems. The ideal candidate will offer crucial insights and innovative approaches to drive Nillion's growth, armed with a track record of managing digital asset markets and adhering to evolving regulatory landscapes. This position is for a strategic thinker who can blend financial expertise with a deep operational understanding of web3 technologies, aiming to position Nillion at the forefront of the industry.

Requirements

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams: Work closely with the engineering and product teams to define and enhance the developer experience. Your insights from your own experience building + community builders will directly influence product development and improvements.

• Dogfood Nillion: Build in public! You’ll build and maintain example projects that not only demonstrate the capabilities of Nillion's technology but also serve as practical guides for developers looking to implement similar solutions.
• Develop documentation and technical content: Develop and maintain technical documentation, write technical content and release notes, and create systems diagrams that help developers understand and utilize Nillion's features effectively.
• Technical community engagement: Actively participate in and moderate discussions on platforms like Discord and GitHub. Use these interactions to gather feedback, provide support, and foster a robust community around Nillion’s technology.
• Travel and IRL engagement: Travel to key industry events and meetups to engage with the community, gather insights, and promote Nillion's technology through workshops and presentations.
• Work cross-functionally: Collaborate regularly with both engineering and product teams to align on developer needs and product capabilities. Occasionally coordinate with the marketing team to ensure that communications and campaigns accurately reflect the technical depth and innovation of Nillion products.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
• Solid understanding of software development practices, system architecture, and modern web development
• Open source contributions with clear, maintainable code and documentation and/or strong technical blogs with embedded code examples
• Community Engagement Skills: Demonstrated ability to engage with and support developers
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with different programming paradigms and environments in both web2 and web3
• Python, JavaScript (TypeScript), Solidity and / or Rust experience
• Cryptography Knowledge, Familiarity with cryptography concepts, especially Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE)
• AI Knowledge
